Every formula below comes straight from the code the site computes ratings with: if a coefficient changes, this page changes too.
WN8 compares your average damage, spotting, kills, base defence and win rate with the expected values for each tank. A ratio of 1 is what an average player does on that tank.
rDAMAGE = average damage ÷ expected damage; rSPOT, rFRAG, rDEF and rWIN work the same wayrWINc = max(0; (rWIN − 0.71) ÷ (1 − 0.71))rDAMAGEc = max(0; (rDAMAGE − 0.22) ÷ (1 − 0.22))rFRAGc = min(rDAMAGEc + 0.2; max(0; (rFRAG − 0.12) ÷ (1 − 0.12)))rSPOTc = min(rDAMAGEc + 0.1; max(0; (rSPOT − 0.38) ÷ (1 − 0.38)))rDEFc = min(rDAMAGEc + 0.1; max(0; (rDEF − 0.1) ÷ (1 − 0.1)))WN8 = 980·rDAMAGEc + 210·rDAMAGEc·rFRAGc + 155·rFRAGc·rSPOTc + 75·rDEFc·rFRAGc + 145·min(1.8; rWINc)The classic formula that rewards damage adjusted for the average tier played, kills, spotting, capture and base defence.

For each tank we build the distribution of average damage, win rate, kills, spotting and base defence across every player in our database (percentiles at 5, 10, 25, 50, 75, 90, 95, and 99%) and find your place in it from 0 to 1.Tank score = 45% × damage + 20% × wins + 15% × kills + 10% × spotting + 10% × defenceWhile battles are few the score is pulled to the middle: (battles × score + 20 × 0.5) ÷ (battles + 20)Account Bronya Index = battle-weighted average tank score × 10000The mark percentage is a moving average of your “combined damage” over recent battles, compared with other players on the same tank.
Combined damage per battle = own damage + max(spotting assist, tracking assist, stun assist)After every battle: average = average + α × (battle damage − average), where α = 2 ÷ (100 + 1) ≈ 0.019801980198019802Marks are awarded at 65%, 85% and 95%: the share of players on the tank whose average is below yours.Between thresholds the percentage grows linearly; when the data has no 100% threshold it is extended along the slope between 85% and 95%.Ace Tanker and the classes are awarded for battle experience compared with other players on that tank.
3rd class beats 50% of players; 2nd — 80%; 1st — 95%; Ace Tanker — 99%.Every rating uses the same nine tiers, folded into six colours on the site. The display settings can switch the palette to the XVM colours.
